After the Dole Plantation we headed towards the beaches on the North shore. Driving along the shore was an absolutely beautiful experience. The houses, the people and the waves crashing on the rocks made for an unforgettable day.
I knew I wasn’t going to see the huge winter swells pushing in massive iconic barrels but the waves in March were still incredible to see. Nothing can describe what it’s like to sit on the beach at pipeline watching the surfers glide across the waves. Absolutely spectacular. And the water was warm. I wasn’t expecting that. I only went into the water up to my knees to stay safe. I didn’t want to drown at Pipeline. This place is indescribable.
A quick drive down the Kamehameha Highway took us to the North Shore food trucks. There was a good variety of food and everything smelled pretty amazing. I ended up buying a delicious local dish. I forget what it was but it tasted like heaven in my mouth.
