Pineapples – Day 2

I woke up on March 25, 2016 to the early morning views of Waikiki. I almost had to pinch myself to prove that I was really in Hawaii. The goal of the day was to meet up with my friend’s friend and check out beaches and pineapple heaven. The weather didn’t exactly cooperate at first but it turned out to be a lovely day none the less.

Dole Plantation

The first stop of the day was at the Dole Plantation. This place was pretty cool and I’m glad we got there at a decent time. It was lush with vegetation that I had only seen in books and on the internet. We found out that the pineapples had recently been harvested but we did still have the opportunity to see some pineapples up close. I also got to buy some delicious pineapple candy. We rode the train around the plantation and learned about the history of the area. I would highly recommend stopping by this lovely tourist attraction.
